By way of background, I operated restaurants out of downtown Santa Barbara before moving to the Beverly Hills area. These include Cafe Picasso and Poupon [featuring French cuisine] and La Casbah, a traditional Moroccan affair.
I am Entrepreneur who learned my skills living in some of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world .Born in Beirut, and brought up in Casablanca, I was strongly influenced by the cuisine of both cultures. I was further influence by French and Spanish and other cultures when I lived and worked in Paris ,Malaga ,Copenhagen, and Casablanca,My Food training start at the age of 14 when my mother financed my private training courses in cooking leading my career to become restaurant owner ,my First restaurant was cafe Picasso French Mediterranean cuisine was founded in 1987,as a chef owner at cafe Picasso earned the second award from California Magazine as one of The best restaurant in the state for 1990 and 1991 ,Also was voted for best open kitchen in SB by kitchen gagneau sponsored by Julia child ,and Downy restaurant in SB .My second restaurant was La Casbah a authentic Moroccan atmosphere open in 1992 and expended his restaurant by opening a Casbah express on state street Youssef also open another French restaurant called poupon ,after 12 year of restaurant experience I decided to change my career due to patian for the ancient art and moved to Manhattan to work with high profiles relatives in the antiquities .
Cooking was always my love and sport because my cooking experience for years and I changed my health prospective of the food I decided to become vegetarian slash vegan due to friends influence and the new trend ,because my years of experience and skills of cooking of many years I created my own recopies of 100% dairy free cheeses and I named it Vromage very tasty in order to satisfy those graving and pallet of good taste ,therefore today I makes and create a line of dairy free cheeses ,meatless sausages .all without any dairy product or animal I keep most of the ingredient organic my product is very tasty and healthy .
